May has been a very exciting month with many milestones. I received my last chemotherapy treatment! It was a long 5 months with allergic reactions and feeling unwell, and I was so excited to celebrate this milestone! Because of this, my port has been removed! I grew quite attached to my port, literally, but I feel so much more comfortable with it out. I also got mapped out for my radiation treatments. I got my first tattoo in this process! Actually 3! They are just little dots that look like a freckle that they will use to help line me up in the radiation treatment. Oh, my hair is growing back! It is very white but I like having my fuzz and I will take what I get!
With all of this going on we found a lot of time to be silly as a family and celebrated a most lovely Mother’s Day! I am truly a lucky lady who is very blessed!
