Hello family and friends
Well I am 3/4 of the way through Phase 1 of chemo! I do have to admit that the effects of the drugs are cumulative. I could feel this treatment more and I am feeling more run down. But I am still holding strong and doing better than most in my position! When I got home from my treatment I slept for three hours straight! I am sure this frigid cold weather is not making this easier on me.
I started back at work part time on non-chemo weeks. It is nice to be back in the game but I do get tired. I will have to be careful of how many hours I work and make sure I continue to rest and recover. Only one more though Round to go on February 11. Then I shift to Phase 2 which is new drugs and I go every Friday for 12 weeks. It is supposed to be “easier” so I am hoping to continue to handle this like a rock star! Radiation will follow that.
All things considered, I am doing well and I plan to finish strong! I smile a lot and it is great to see people smile back at me. I’m looking forward to when we can celebrate!
